HIRT.swiss | Grüze-Garage

Some moments in life deserve to be remembered in a very special way. And what helps making such moments even more memorable than an effortlessly ascending huge glass facade?

Surprised looks guaranteed

The customers at the Emil Frey Ltd Grüze-Garage car dealership in Winterthur are bound to have a look of real surprise on their face when they pick up their new Jaguar. Together with its renowned project partners, HIRT swiss descending windows implemented a worldwide innovation with their ascender front that weighs 700 kg and does not slide into the ground, but rather ascends weightlessly.

High tech for the big moment

For architects Schällibaum + Partner, who worked on the construction project for Emil Frey Ltd, the implementation of the ascender front paves the way for an innovative solution. The facade measures 3,200 × 3,000 mm and boasts excellent product features. For example, the triple-glazed glass guarantees the highest possible thermal insulation, and the window’s functionality and impressive aesthetic are also sure to please. When the customer picks up the keys for their new vehicle, they will enjoy a true VIP experience when they see the gigantic ascender front slide up effortlessly.

Stefan Hirt, the mastermind at HIRT swiss descending windows, is particularly delighted by this new and rather different use for the perfectly balanced HIRT descender fronts: “Once again, we have proven that the possibilities with our descender fronts are truly endless. We are proud of our high-quality product that perfectly reflects the timeless elegance of the Jaguar brand.”
